About the Founder

Geoff founded G.A. Gross & Company following a twenty-year career in the United States Air Force. He retired from active duty after serving six months at NASA where he conducted strategic planning, alignment, and governance for the Lunar and Martian Dust Mitigation community; helping to resolve an Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate priority architecture-gap.

Geoff had a vast array of experiences and roles during his twenty years of active-duty service. Most recently, at Air Combat Command he was responsible for the oversight of new unit types in various stages of development, implementation, and execution; leading efforts for a transformation affecting approximately 9,000 personnel as part of a larger 30,000-person initiative. He also directed a novel 74-member Cooperative Research & Development Agreement (CRADA) for a mixed-methods experimentation and assessment of new operating models in a simulated execution environment.

Geoff previously served in command-and-control operations at Air Combat Command where he authored policy, conducted strategic management of international command-and-control operations, and performed workforce analysis and planning for a career specialty of 3,000. Before assignment to Air Combat Command, he provided executive advisory to Commanders of three air bases. He also served as the Director of two operations centers at Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea, and at Space Systems Command in Los Angeles.

Prior to command-and-control he was an Instructor at Basic Military Training, and faculty of Air University teaching a 4.0 credit-hour regionally accredited course. His career began, though, as a member of the U.S. Air Force Premier Honor Guard where he was selected to provide tours of the Pentagon to the public and visiting dignitaries while assigned to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, Directorate of Community Relations and Public Liaison.
